This past week, our focus has been less on building new features and more on community building, setting up support channels, talking to initial users and taking a step back and formulating a roadmap for the next 3 months.

Our landing page now works on feature phones 🤳
This is the first step into making our platform usable on feature phones like the JioPhone which has a massive reach in India.
Feature request tracker is live 🗂
To be able to listen to our users better, and prioritize what to build next, we have set up a feature request tracker here. Anyone can add a feature request or vote for an existing one. This means that you’ll be directly helping us decide what to build next!
Bugs & Improvements tracker is live 🐞
Users can file bug reports and suggest improvements to the platform using this tracker.

We’ve added the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on our landing page.

Improved security for Plio’s REST API 🔐
We tightened the security of Plio by restricting a lot of APIs that were earlier open for anyone who had their access token. This is a major security update.
The Dashboard loads 3 times faster now ⚡️
Bunching of API calls to our Analytics service reduced the load time for the Dashboard from ~ 11 seconds to ~ 3 seconds
Bug fixes & Enhancements (highlights)
New users now receive a welcome email from plio@avantifellows.org instead of Aman's email ID 😛. Fixed here.
Previously, sorting by the column names on the Home page only sorted amongst the rows on the current page and not all the rows in the table. Fixed here.
Users were being continuously logged out after one day of logging in. This was due to a bug in the refreshing of the access token of the Analytics service. Now, no one will be automatically logged out. Fixed here.
The placeholder for the video player on the Player page has now been improved - earlier the placeholder itself took some time to load. Fixed here.
The call to plio-analytics was breaking when the user had no plios which froze the home page. Fixed here.
